Borderline Personality Disorder Support Groups

Borderline Personality Disorder Society of BC

Offers drop-in peer support for individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD), their family, friends, and partners. Participants are welcome to suggest a topic, join in, or just sit quietly and listen. A lending library of handouts, resources and books is also provided.

Provides an online listing of crystal meth support groups available in BC for those whom all drugs, specifically crystal meth, have become a problem. In-person and online meetings are available.

Eating Disorders Anonymous

Provides an online listing of support groups available in BC, as well as online information and resources, to support individuals with their recovery from an eating disorder.

Telephone and internet meetings are also available. Twelve Steps of recovery are used for knowledge and wisdom.

Counselling and Support Groups

Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre Society

Provides individual and group counselling to women, trans, non-binary, two-spirit, and gender diverse people who have experienced sexualized violence. Counsellors help support survivors to cope with the impacts of violence ranging from anger and grief to issues including sexuality, intimacy and trust.

Counselling may include safety planning, support circles, sexual assault counselling, art therapy, inclusion support, and counselling for Indigenous survivors rooted in Indigenous healing practices and traditions.

Narcotics Anonymous Meetings

BC Region of Narcotics Anonymous

Provides an online listing of local support groups for men and women with addiction who wish to maintain a drug-free lifestyle. Recovering addicts meet regularly to help each other stay clean and share recovery with one another. Closed meetings are for members or for recovering addicts only, while open meetings are available to anyone interested in the program.

Breast Cancer and Health Services

Island Health

Provides integrated breast health services throughout the Island Health region in partnership with the BC Cancer Agency, family doctors, specialists, and other community organizations.

Services include cancer care, mammography services, counselling and support programs, outpatient physiotherapy, and practical support.
